massachusetts

Massachusetts holds a prominent place in American history. As one of the original 13 colonies, it was a hub for the early colonial resistance against British rule, which eventually led to the American Revolution. The state is home to the famous city of Boston, known for the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere's midnight ride. Massachusetts also boasts a rich educational heritage, being the location of Harvard University, the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States, established in 1636.
